Wanted 7a Inlet Cam

May aswell since the head looks like its comming off

George, Have you considered buying a complete 7A head? could be a cheaper option than the repair on yours. The 7A head will require a little machining to accept the water rail. I'd be interested to know if you could get away with using the 7A valves, they have a different part number, but look like they are sodium filled type?
I'm sure someone on the forum could advise us??

Think the valves are OK, but 7A has only 2 studs pr cyl for EM. Has to weld, drill, tapp & surface to get it right. No big problem, just some work

I have read into the matter a little more and will probably opt to retain the 3b head and just look fo a 7a cam as part of the head rebuild

Do you mean inlet or exhaust cam??
