    Anyone have one for sale?

  • #2
I think I may have found one from the US for 475USD.. seems reasonable. Can someone please confirm the part numbers please to ensure it's the right one? Don't have car at the moment so can't check. Audi part # 447 907 404AA, Bosch part #
    0261 200 451.

      Hi:
If you are referring to the one that Scott Mockry is selling, the ECU is for a US Spec 200q20v with 3B motor. It should work in the S2, as I have run one of my 200q20v wagons with the S2 3b ecu.....

And yes, the ECU for the S2 3B and the 200 3b HAVE DIFFERENT PART NUMBERS - and if you decide on a remap, you will need to get chips for a 200 3B

I can also vouch for Scott Mockry.....

Yes - that's the one - cheers. I'd sussed out that the 200 3B and the S2 3B had different part numbers... perhaps I press send too quick when sending out requests..

So - I need to confirm that it will work in a 3B.. anyone? Also.. if it does work, then can I use the chips from my 3B ECU that has already had a re-map from MRC??

Also noticed a 3B ECU for sale here:

        Anyone on here?

475 usd for std 3B ECU is a lot.

200 and S2 3B ECUs are fully intechangeable. There is only slight difference in target boost. It's so slight you'll never notice it.

            dm 80:

The ECUs are interchangeable, ie either will connect to the S2 3B engine harness.

BUT the fuel and timing chips ARE NOT - so if you want to upgrade the 200 Q 3b ECU, you will have to get EEPROMS for that ECU, same for the S2 3B ECU EEPROMS not working in the 200Q 3B ECU....

This info is direct from Mihnea - who remapped one of my 200 Q 3bs, and said the same chips would not work in my S2 3B ECU.

Thanks for the info - this ECU a non-starter then I guess. I ain't buying an ECU that needs those chips.. as it will render my remap redundant.. search goes on..
