    Hello there.....looking for a S2

I'm new to this forum so please bear with my lack of Audi knowledge....however what I do know is the S2 is an amazing car! I'm in the market for a LHD 90/91 Audi S2...could someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks

I'm running a '91 S2, shouldn't have a problem finding one - but finding a good one could be more of a challenge.. this forum is the best place to look for advice (I bought my car from a forum member).

Out of interest, under what circumstances can you take a '91 S2 to Canada? I didn't think it was possible to get one over to north America!

          cheers

a car can be imported into canada with no problems as long as it is 15 years or older....so a 91 can be shipped pretty much hassle free....i know the U.S has much stricter rules regarding importing cars...

Might be a good idea to look into a LHD then. Not that it matters in Canada; there's no bloody cars on the road anyway - you could drive on any side. At least in Alberta anyway.

That's interesting though; I've always thought about going out there in a few years and the thought that I could take the S2 with me makes it that much more appealing...

              Cheers

i am actually looking for a LHD....there maybe no cars on the road but canadians will always find someone or something to hit.....canadians can't drive for the life of them!

                  Canadian eh ?

I didn't know about that 15yr rule - thats pretty damn reasonable. Pity the US isn't so forward thinking with their car import laws.

You'd be best shopping for a 90/91 coupe in Holland, Belgium or Germany. You'll get a good price and should be the best choice of LHD cars around. I have only ever seen LHD RS2's in Britain.

Dutch (and Ross), that's a cracking bit of news! My hope is to move out to Calgary/Vancouver (or, at a push, Edmonton) sometime in the next 5 years - Alberta/BC is my favourite place on the planet! I'm hoping to find me an RS2 soon..... and its great to know that importing it with me should be pretty hassle-free! Awesome

flossymeister....i've done my homework on this and as long as the laws don't change any car can be imported tax free into canada from Europe as long as it's 15 years or older....u can import newer cars but the cost is so high it does not justify it...

Now all i've got to do is find a sodding car...... and then a job out there to coincide perfectly with the car's 15th birthday :mischeif:
