Audi S2 blue cloth recaros

i have recently bought a blue S2 avant and am wanting to upgrade the front seats to recaros - blue cloth preferably. does anyome know where i might get a good set?

Do you mean RS2 type recaros, if so they were a rare option i think on the S2, in cloth or leather. Either way, you will be very lucky to find the cloth versions. Leather ones are still hard to find, best bet is ebay.de.

they are difficult to find, you can get equivalent seats from recaro direct but they arent cheap

i did mean RS2 style ones. i missed out on an S2 with the recaro option some weeks ago and am kicking myself now as sometimes the S2 seat does not have quite enough grip.

i was also condidering an RS2 engine upgrade in time but i expect that this will be dear.

does the RS2 have 2 intercoolers? an the S2 only one? someone told me about this difference but i am not sure whether they are correct. also where do the other differences lie between the 2 engines? my car is a 95 model so i think that it has the last version of the audi 5 pot before the RS2 came along so i am hopeful that there maybe a few less things to change.

i also heard that the RS2 runs a different gearbox. is this true or is it just that the bell housing is bolted in more places?

RS2 engine ( aka ADU engine ) has a different turbo, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, injectors, exhaust cam and ECU. The intercooler is bigger as well but there's only one IC. Oh, and the airbox is different and the air mass meter is bigger.

Gearbox and clutch are identical except the 1st gear on the RS2 g/box is reinforced.

If you want cloth S2 recaros you'll be waiting a very long time. I've seen them for sale once on ebay.de and it was for a coupe. You will be better off trying to source an RS2 interior. Be prepared to travel though, , speaking from experience there and pay up to €1000.

I got UrS4 seats that will end in my B4 soon. Lotsa cheaper and lostsa easyer to find.

The RS2 intercooler IS larger and uses a different crossmember. You can weld a bracket onto your S2 crossmember so the RS2 intercooler fits or have a custom one made.

so would you say it is a big job to mount the rs2 intercooler? thinking of it is it cheaper to use a custom IC rather than mess trying to source an RS2 item?
