RS2 Suspension donor parts needed.

I am having custom coilover suspension fitted to my RS2 but I need donor parts to have it built. Does anyone know of a breaking RS2? How similar is the suspension and steering on an S2? :confused:

Depends which bits you are after! I don't know of any RS2s that are breaking presently. Many here can probably help with specific or more 'generic' parts if applicable. Obviously, Martynf and Audi Part Guru can help you out as they 'are' VAGParts!

Have a chat with Tim at Central VW Audi, I think he had a pair of rear struts
He was working on a coil over conversion for the S2.

Spring seats are a problem for the later S2 ( which has thicker front tubes)

They're good chaps down there and do all sorts with s2 / RS2 VW beetles with S3 engines in the back etc.

Mention that David Ward put you in contact. You won't get any discount but he will probably kick me for overloading his workshops.

This is a direct quote from John Stubs at Leda:

"OK...We would need to have front units as donors (steering arm and possibly bracket) and the rear unit and the shuttle (marked up a "1" on the rear picture) as a pattern."

The diagram he's referring to is in the attached JPEG file...

RS2, S2 Avant and S2 Sedan all have the same rear axle, dunno if that helps in the search for parts. Perhaps the more standard "engineized" versions (avant/sedan) with quattro have the same rear axle?

I don't think my rear struts are anything like that. It looks more like a possible avant set up to me or maybe a 2WD option rear with Beam axle?

Not looked under my rear end recently!
