    Wiper Stalk Switch ect.

Hi All, I'm in need of a wiper stalk switch for my 1991 S2 it's got computer controls and rear wiper control on it too, (my wipers now have a mind of thier own, have replaced the relay but still no intermitant wipe and they won't stop/park properly at times ) if anyone knows of a good one thats for sale would they be kind enough to let me know, also indicator switch too needed.
    Thanks in advance...Alan..(Condor)..

The wipers were working ok except for the intermitant cycle, they wouldn't go at all in that position, I replaced the relay last week and that didn't cure the problem, however over the weekend the stalk did start to smoke slightly at times, since this the wipers have had a mind of thier own at times,(the switch doesn't feel quite right either ) hence I think it could well be the stalk switch.

Might be the motor, i had issues with my rear wiper, it wouldn’t park properly unless i cancelled it at the bottom of the window, and on the last pass of the window it jumped inch by inch instead of a smooth movement.

Took it apart to find the grease was like toffee, very sticky so i cleaned it all up, re-greased with LM geese and its been perfect ever since, also wipes twice as fast now ..I’ve been meaning to do the same for the front as it starts to struggle at 80mph in the rain.

Thanks for the suggestions, yep I had probs with rear wiper too, cleaned it up inside the motor,(grease) it's ok now , I've taken the front motor out and I'm pretty sure it's working as it should, thanks all for the comments, most appreciated.

I had problems with front wipers, and the problem was in bad contact in the stalks.

                    Strange electrical problem.Help plz

Hi All, well I decided to order a new wiper stalk VagParts (£93.) which arrived today,I'm in the process of replacing the old one, the wipers now work/park as they should....However I now have another problem, the interior ventilation fan now runs all the time when the new wiper switch is connected???even if the wipers are off, also the wiper stalk works with the key removed from the ignition...as does the fan problem..whats going on here??? ..could the new switch be faulty? unlikely I know but not impossible..the switch looks identicle to the old one..there is small signs of copper sticking out between the plastic casing.UPDATE....The NEW SWITCH WAS AT FAULT!!!! I looked closely at the copper bits sticking out and thease were poorly finished off causing 2 tracks of copper to be joined together... I cleaned thease up ie seperated the ends and hey presto all appears to be working properly now ...so a word of warning don't always think the new part can't be faulty...If there are further developements I'll post them here..but fingers crossed there won't be...
                    Best wishes Alan...
