If you have troubles finding original mass airflow meter, try with Golf MK3 VR6 one, it worked out with my 3B from 1991!!!

how many pins the golf 1 have do the numbers match. i changed the connecter for some spade connectors so there is 1 on each of the pins it still did it so i took the top off the air mass meter and noticed that the little wire that runs from the live pin to the circuit board was lose and makin a bad connection which would give the fault that i had so i care fully soldered it back on and it seems ok at the monent touch wood lolComment
