    Wanted: s2 rear boot badge

Been looking on the bay, and most audi forums, but no luck locating one. Any help would be great.

I keep seeing these badges, but always assumed it was a fake, i.e. not an OEM install.

In order to get a real S2 rear badge, head to your nearest Chavsville with a screwdriver and look for Chavved up Golfs and Polos, as they always seem to have an S2 or RS2 badge on the back. Then simply confiscate the badge under section 12c of the 'Rules of car ownership' bill.

Whilst you are there, turn off their fog lights (section 7b), turn down their stereos (section 4a), remove those ridiculous chromed rear lights (section 14e) and make them pull their trousers up (common courtesy act)

      Cheers n

The rules of ownership code is definitely being violated. Problem is, all the little shi$'s in the states are driving chromed out Subaru's or Honda's. Tough to swipe a s2 badge off one of them! Article 7 sec 119 common courtesy act still apply's however....

Here's the one I was looking for

These badges are rarer to buy than an honest premiership manager/agent. One went on the bay recently for about £30...used with a couple of scratches. Fack that.. Is the front one not the same size as the rear one? If so - these are freely available, and could easily be modded to fit to the rear.. just pull off the grill fittings and add double sided sticky pads - the type you get in halfords for fitting plates.. sorted.

Can you easily remove the clip from the front badge. I guess you then need to source a suitable 3M adhesive pad so that it sticks correctly and you don't lose it the first time you launch the car or wash it!

                  S2 badge.jpg

Am I correct in assuming it is an after market one?

                  Cheers n

                    @ Simon.

Yes. It is a copy of the later RS4 style one. Not very nice IMO but each to their own.

                    Certainly not OEM....

                    Cheers,

You can tell I am bored...I have just read that ad and cannot believe how many errors I found....

                          1. 'THIS IS FOR THE AUDI COUPE QUATTRO'
Err, no, it's for an S2....muppet!

                          2. 'AND THE AUDI 80 QUTTRO'
NO! it's for the S2, and quattro has an 'a' in it.

                          2. 'THIS IS FOR THE EARLY SHAPE 1992-1996'
err, 92-96 is certainly not early and production ended in 95 , but the badge fits both anyway

                          3. 'APPROX SIZE 7M ACROSS AND 5M IN HEIGHT'
                          As spotted above

                          4. 'FITTED TO THE 230 + BHP MODELS'
No, fitted to 220 or 230bhp models

Also, I love his title...'AUDI S2 GRILLE BADGE 80 100 QUATTRO SPORT V8 V6 TURBO' How's that for trying to cover all the bases? Funny thing is, he missed Golf and Polo, who seem to be the prime purchases of these at the moment

                          Cheers n

                              One last one;

Quattro isn't right either, it's never spelt with a capital "Q"

                              It's "quattro"

                              Am I grumpy too?
