    RS2s use the Porsche fitment of 5x130mm pcd, so any 5 stud Porsche wheel will fit

      Just get the offset right, guys. Most Porsche production cars have differing width front and rear....caution!! Whatever you chose, you may end up needing 2 pairs of fronts from a 911! Know what you are talking about and you will go far with specialist Porsche parts suppliers. Cash is king when it comes to persuading suppliers to split ordinarily-complete 911 kits. Not easy for stock wheels as you have no choice other than Porsche on a 5x130 but the aftermarket world may yield more interesting results. Consult a few independant Porsche specialists for advice....no harm in asking! Trade them against each other..be *******s..always negotiate from a position of strength!!! You have the cash to spend and they have old stock to shift!

        I am currently talking with Lee about fitting his custom built brakes with 362mm brake rotors and AP calipers to my RS2. This means running 18" rims so if anyone finds a solution to this then please let me know... the first thing we all need to know is the offset of the original wheels, any takers? Excuse my ignorance but what does PCD mean in this context?

          PCD on th RS2 is 5x130. This means that you have have five bolts equally spaced on a 130mm diameter to bolt the wheel to the hub...Porsche only! S2 is 5x112 which is the same as most other Audis except those based on the VW Golf platform (A3, TT and A2). RS2 uses Porsche bearings and hubs in, what is essentially, an S2 Avant suspension system (albeit with alternative shocks)

          Offset is 52mm for th RS2 and the S2 is 35mm. I run with ET32 at the back and ET29 at the front to get adequate clearances on my 8" wide rims. The B4 Avant quattro chassis doesn't have the same room in the rear arches as the Late Audi 80 Coupe bodyshell. The Avant rear suspension is cute but it takes up loads of room.

          Monster AP disks are 362mm x 36mm and should fit inside most 18" Alloys with the appropriate lead balancing weights.

            Cheers Lee. I've asked Micheldever for a quote on some Superleggeras (I see what you mean about the forged ones being expensive, they're twice the price!) I'll verify the PCD and offset when they reply to me.

              I think Rs2 wheels are 7''x17'' ET 42.
              Anyone correct me please.
              PCD is 5x130mm for sure
              There is a thread about it somewhere, make a search.

                For Porsche 18'' I think you should look for 4 front wheels from a boxster S or 911 some models are 7,5'' and others 8'' wide I would go for the 7,5'' ones. The problem is you have to check ET number, though I think that all of them will have a similar ET number and also in the high values because they must clear the big brake calipers.

                I used to have a Porsche wheels catalogue where you could see all their models and ET numbers, I am sure you can get it from a dealer.

                  What does ET42 mean? 42mm offset?

                    I think is the offset. 42mm.
                    I heard that the technical explanation is that ET "number" is the distance is mm from the center of the rim to the "holes" where studs go through.

                      I've seen 18" alloys off the 993 turbo fitted to an rs2. The guy used 2 sets of front ones.

                        You will also need to machine the centre hole in Porsche wheels as your RS2 has a slightly larger centre bore - I don't have numbers to hand.

                        Look on the RS2list on the yahoo groups - the info will be there and there will be lots of RS2s with different wheels as well.

                          Ooops, I was working from memory. Here is data from the Web but it's validity should be verified. S2 centrebore is 57mm and Mercedes is generally 66.5. I mention merc because they have 5x112 too so you can use merc wheels on an S2. Off topic here!

                          911 Carrera 2/4, 928, 944 87>, 964, 968, 993 are apparently as follows
                          PCD = 5 x 130
                          Offset = 45
                          Centre bore = 71.5 [Get this right!!!]

                          Believe it or not, you can fit Mercedes Sprinter wheels too to an RS2 but that's a bit of crap info because I doubt they are available in 18" for that van!!!

                          Offset is the distance from the centreline of the rim to the hub face as Rafael stated. Offsets can be positive or negative. Offsets are typically sized to get the wheel centreline over the bearings in the hubs to reduce the bending moments seen by the bearings in stright-line driving (lateral forces obviously mean large bending moments at the bearings when cornering). I run funny offsets so accept that the life of my bearings may be reduced but I cane the bearings anyway during relentless hard cornering!! Just another service item...when they fail I'll just replace them! Easy when you do all your own mechanical work!!

                          Stick with Porsche fitment as people might get confused with the RS2 and try to spec you something that is inappropriate when you phone them up for quotes.

                          Micheldiever gave me an unbeatable quote for my OZ wheels and tyres.

                              I have just been out to my garage braving the near blizard condition, got out my spare and measured it etc.
                              The results are as follows:
                              The casting states the wheel is 7J x 17 ET55.
                              The centre bore is 72mm in diameter.
                              So hopefully that sould settle the queries :nana:
                              However, if you are thinking of changing your wheels you need to check that they will give you adequate clearance to the calliipers. RS2 wheel are niceley dished out to give good calliper clearance (but not so good kerb clearance!!). This has more to do with the wheel design than the ET. On my Corrado G60 I had fitted Brembo 4 pot callipers with 305mm discs from the Seat Ibiza Cupra R - the Ibiza uses the same hub & suspension leg as the Corrado aswell as the same PCD of 4/100. The Ibiza came with OZ Superturisimos 7.5 x 16 ET 35, so I thought all should be fine behind my BBS RXs which were 7.5 x 17 ET 35. However, I ended up having to use 8mm spacers to get clearance to the callipers
                              Then I checked other wheel styles - OZ Superturisimos & Sperlegerras were fine as were BBS RCs & RKs - all with the same ET35!!
                              So check first.
                              I guess most Porsche rims would be fine as they use the same brakes.
                              Talking of brakes Seat had a really strange pricing policy for the Ibiza Cupra R brakes - the genuine Brembo 4 pot callipers were only £78 each including pads, the disks only £45. However, you needed mounting brackets £15 each, 8 high tensile bolts at £12 each & then braided brake hoses at £200 each !! Needless to say Seat tuners like Badger5 supplied their own hoses & bolts and did the whole kit for £450.
                              The Corrado VR6 boys, which has the same PCD as the S2 of 112/5 used to use the Seat Leon Cupra R front brakes - Brembo 4 pot callipers & 320mm discs - worked out at about £750 all I think. Have any of you guys explored that possibility?
