black plastic piping gets hard and brittle causing leaks
bit of useless info????
1.6td audi 80 ( h reg---) uses one as well in cooling system.............
i dont know if same part number but does same job......
might be cheaper

if you ever got 2.5 T25( audi 5 cylinder) vw transporter from south africa
they use them too..................
