Does anyone know whether the AAN engine also uses this washer ?

Yes the washers as the same on AAN, 3B and ABY

Just ABY, ADU & later AAN. I think the early AAN pulley doesn't use it, but later ones do....or maybe its vice versa can't remember off hand

There a expensive washer I know that, could it be the dampr distance has something to do with it?

I found a vw washer 074 105 193 same size for a tenner, not blooming 60!

The TDi washer is only 0.13mm thick which is considerably less than the correct one!
