3b power steering reservoir filter

Anyone got a good filter which slots into the p/s reservoir? Mine is full if metal shards and despite trying to flush them they seem to keep coming back.

Hi David,

I may have a separate filter, will take a look tomorrow. I know I have a complete 3B reservoir as I pinched a hose off it today.

Yep that's including the filter. Do you need any of the hose that go to and from the Res? I ask as I removed them today to get it ready for you and it occurred to me you may want one of them.

Hi sir, I'm just curious, are you in the midst of a series of system flushes and perhaps wanting a spare clean and dried filter and reservoir to speed the process? If yes, clever idea!

Heya David, These are parts left over from my dead S2, still got a mountain to get through!

The reason I'm selling it is I'm not going to be using power steering or ABS on my B3 Project. I only ever ran the system on on the correct green fluid when it was fitted to my S2..,

Hi Kit. Have you got a spare return hose for the PAS? The one with the fitting for the master cylinder and the reservoir? I'm going to do the servo conversion but this will get me going for now.

Did you still want the Res David as I have another member chasing me for it now....I'm in no hurry to sell it an I'd rather you have it.

Yep, thats pretty much the deal...i hope. just so much swarf as a result of a pump failure, will flush loads, check for any final signs of metallic bits, do it again until clear, then put the return line back the res and drop in the clean filter. Then hope it doesnt go pop again!
