    Ellipsoid headlamp

I need a RHD, drivers side ellipsoid headlamp.

Got a LHD light on there at the moment MOT has come around and it wont pass with the LHD light. Anyone want the LHD light it's i perfect working order no holes or chips PM me.

Obviously the beam pattern is normally like this on the LHD unit: __/
Not \__ like it is on the RHD. If you see what I mean.
If you moved the lever to flatten the beam, would it pass?

thats what i thought...all ellipsoid's have a beam adjuster which should mean I'd have thought you could flick the other way and just replace the glass if needed (not sure u would as the glass is clear isnt it?

The lever doesn't flick the beam the other way, it just flattens it. So it is still far from ideal, I was just thinking about getting it through the MOT.

I have LHD units on my S6 and they pass everytime, although I find the £50 note taped to the lens helps

                  Ant,

Didn't they pass them with the lens adjusted by the lever I described?

I still have a spare unit if you want it?

The MOT tester where i work said he would pass LHD headlamps with the beam flattened off.

                        Hey Ant,
I'm very surprised at that...it passed last time around!!!....I suggest taking it to another MOT'er!!!....

Hmm looks like this one got some replies already... lever as suggested should sort it!

@Corey, cant remember how damaged the Coupe's driver-side ellipsoid was, I think it was missing an attachment tab thingy-ma-jig? Could be useful here if you still have em

Mountings are toast but would make a good one out of 2

OK so "attachment tab thingy-ma-jigs" = "mountings" I did hit my head in the accident...
