      I have an autel handheld with a 2x2 cable I never use as I have VCDS and a fancy Autel one..

                  I would not normally say as genuine cables are the best way, however just for logging and reading/clearing codes then VCDS copies can be had very cheap. I would not pay more then £40 for one but they will do what you want. You will need to buy the 2x2 adapter cable. There are plenty of FB market place.
