Strut brace

Is anyone breaking a car or have previously removed the strut brace and mounts for a coupe?

Great news haha.

I need to paint my engine bay so I think if I can't source some mounts I will just bend up some tube and weld it in across the back up against the bulkhead.

The cheaper way is to find someone near you breaking an 80 V6 as they had the brace. There is one on ebay tonight in Wolverhampton. It takes quite a bit of careful cutting with a thin disc to get them off nicely. BTDT

I breaking a car should have all the bits you need. Will check on it tonight

Ok had a look did not know it’s welded on so can’t get it off for now

I half have a solution but.... Is there any chance you can cut the mounts off the struts? It dosent need to be too neat as I can sort that out after.
