Cheers Paul for the offer but I’m in South Yorkshire. My friend Mike should be calling around over Christmas so I’ll probably end up borrowing his. Just thought I’d invest in the tool as I have a couple of my own S2’s which are due a belt change.

BTW what do you also change when you do the belt? In the past I have always done the water pump, both seals and idler as well.

Hi Steve, not replaced my timing belt before but I’ve got the same list of spares. Just need to find a huge torque wrench and scaffold tube for reassembly! Working underneath the car at the moment so timing belt is next years job before it goes back on the road. Good luck
