    H&R Rear Coupe springs

My rear springs where sold as H&R but i have my doubts as they dont seem to be as low as others...

Any body got a rear set laying about or know if i can just get the rears?

    Cheers James

    Whats the part number?

H&R Coupe rears should be 29939-1 HA but H&R have being selling the 29939-1 VA (fronts) all round as it's suppose to give better handling but the rear sits higher than the front.

Have a look at the springs, the HA springs look different to the VA they have a tighter coil and are shorter.

If your springs look the same front and rear you have VA all round ( they should also be blue ).

Interesting, i have VA's all round and the rear is too firm, i would say it would handle better with softer springs in the back. Has anybody tried both?

Yes and it made no difference in handling IIRC the VA is softer than the HA!

My front springs are green as they are from a avant :mischeif:

The rears have the exact same spacing in the coils as the fronts but have been sprayed red at some stage in there life

              Do they sell them individualy?

Think they may be available in pairs, If they were Red from the start they are CQ shocks.

my orginal H&R's which came with the bilstein dampers I got off ebay.de which I sold to Wab were from a CQ and they were yellow.

I've got VA/HA combination on mine and it sits flat. Not sure i would want a nose down look on my S2?

Here's an email I got a while back... think they did me the lot for £220 inc vat + postage. Worth a try I'd say:

                          Good afternoon,

As the U.K. Importers, H&R have passed your enquiry on to us.

                          HR29939HA

                          HR29939VA

We keep these springs in stock, £47 plus V.A.T. each and next day delivery would be £7.50 plus V.A.T. for the set of four.

                          Regards,

Has any spoke to Motorsport Tuning tuning recently?

I contacted them about HR springs a few months ago, asked them for 29939VA and HA was advised that those part numbers only apply to the cup set and that the springs for the Coupe are the same all round?

Also what are the pro's and con's of putting VA's all the way round sorry to be honest I think the rear looks lower than the front in the above picture

                              Cheers T
