1x Audi S2

Im taking my leap of faith and have made the decision that im going to get an s2.

Ive had my eyes peeled on ebay, the forum, auto trader and piston heads for a couple of weeks now, and i know this may take a bit of time until "my car" is up, but just for the record...

My heart is set on an s2 coupe ABY, ideally in pearl white or a form of black. Red and silver/grey are no-goes.

Id ideally want something stock-ish, maybe pushing 280bhp, 996 anchors, exhaust etc, which seems fairly common.

Im using the word ideally alot because at this rate i'll be buying a stock red s2 (there seem to be loads of them), respraying it and adding every i want to it

Any words of advice are much appreciated, and if you have a pearl white s2 in mint condition you would like to donate, please PM me

Pearl white S2's in ABY form are very rare infact I've only seen one that I can think of and that's Nip's Avant

There's Andy Casey but I think it's Alpine White.

They were more common in 3B form.

Keep your eyes peeled in all the usual places but I wouldn't rule out an S2 purely because of the colour as mechanical soundness should always win over the colour.

Nah, common as much these white ones....there are 14 listed on the current poll regarding forum car colours.

Bo has a white S2, but I suspect you will need a crow bar to get that away from him

What happened to the white one owned by that very strange and slightly scary girl...Tina was it?

Finally, there are both white and black ones on Autotrader now....just a shame they are early 3B's.

Anyway, good luck with your search and remember, however long you look and however many you look at, the best car will be the one advertised the day after you bought the 2nd best....DOH!

I don't think a crow bar will do it mate! it would have to be a bit more industrial than that.

IIRC Tina's s2 was sold and the written off days latter so thats no longer in circulation.

There is a Perl White Avant on ebay atm though. Im sure someone here will try to convince you that they are better over a coupe

I have to give paul credit for sorting the car out.

Yes Jamo I can remember that too!! I think you noticed the look of panic in my eyes!! Sooo funny! Yes there were indeed a few gremlins and some “fixes” to put right (aux rad springs to mind, ICE wires earthed to the rear seat catches another!) and lots to improve and upgrade - a good bit of Tlc needed it has to be said! I still come across the odd old post from the cars former life and shudder myself (and whatever it was it no doubt still needs fixing!!)

Theres been a whole lot of changes in the year Ive had the car, (starting with the pink courtesy lights and momo!!) such as afore mentioned Porsche brakes, 270bhp chip and all the front suspension renewed and Im well chuffed with the car now!

It really is, Im pleased to say, a different car - so yes that’s the last time I will ever, ever,refer to the car using the “J” word - which still gives me nightmares I can tell you!! Not to mention the effect it has on the poor thing itself!!

The AUX rad! thats what started of our chat I was talking of how her boyfriend couldn't undo the aux rad mount bolts so he cut out the aux rad from the cross member

I take it 3Bs are generally regarded as lesser beings then? And therefore less valuable? Really not sure about the fixing up of mine if it's going to cost me more than the finished car is worth.
