    Standard Injectors

Unfortunatly the place that I had my injectors cleaned at as knackered 3 out of 5! Not very happy

So has anyone out there got a set of standard AAN/ABY injectors?
    Part No. 034 906 031 B
Even if you only have 3 I would be interested.

Drop me a PM with price and your location as I may consider a drive to collect.

    Thanks
    Ben

Knackered injectors courtesy of Lucas service centre in Gatehead
Pintle Cap rived off with a pair of grips by the looks of it!
They even had the cheek to put a knackered cap on one of they injectors they said was OK!
They certainly didn't look like this when I handed them over for a SERVICE
They even had the cheek to charge me £50, I will be having very serious words

Cheers for all the replies guys, I new you lot wouldn't let me down
Ross was first to reply and it looks as if I may even get my mitts on them @ GTI tomorrow.
This may partially calm my bad mood. Certainly a lesson learned here, even if place has an ASNU injector machine this doesn't guarantee a good service.

          Thanks again,
          Ben

This is true, as any tool is only as good as the person who is using it

I tend to take great care of peoples injectors when I'm cleaning them with my Asnu machine. I replace all the pintle caps, o rings and spacers

Well £50 to service 5 injectors to a satisfactory standard is very cheap. No wonder they used your old pintle caps

Don't get me wrong, I believe in value for money, however I would much rather pay what it costs to have the job done right
I was aware that one of the caps had a slight crack in it and pointed this out asking if they could replace it, the bloke mumbled "oh yes right eh yeh I'm sure he'll do that".

Anyways I've collected and fitted my replacement injectors (Thanks Ross) and the car is now running fine again. Not going to bother having these ones cleaned, as I have a spanking RS2 turbo to fit in the near future and I'll be on the hunt for some nice big injectors
