WLTB: Ball hitch for RS2 tow bar

Got everything else, just need the ball. Anyone know if these are a generic VAG part of Avant specific?

Is it a westfalia tow bar?
I dont know if the fittings were standard across their bars but try http://www.angliatowbars.co.uk/tow_bars/tow_bar.aspx
They might have a fitting that gives you the correct height.

car came from France, so doubt it, but dunno - I'll get a piccy and look for any markings. Thanks,

Hi Nick,
If it is a Westfalia there should be a riveted on plate with the towing wieghts on, it has Audi rings on.
The hole the ball locks into should be round with a V slot at the sides at 9 and 3 o'clock.
Tracing a replacement will be a ******, they are all different for each model. ie a 100/200 won't be the same lengh or hieght.
I made a Westfalia coupe fit my RS2. Works a treat! no caravans just race cars on trailers!

Can you recall wich model you used to retro fit the towbar?
are the electrical connections prepared? Or did you need to rewire to the rearlights / fusebox?

Hi Jeffer,
It was from a 89 on coupe, would have fit an S2.
I just wired it in to the rear lights, I wasn't bothered about the module to cut the power to 230, just don't go ballsout on acceleration.
It shows brems licht when the trailer is plugged in but again "I am bothered?"
I will take some pics next time bumper is off.
