Agreed, buy this one (not a bad colour either....nice and stealthy) and spend the rest at MRC taking it to RS4 spec and beyond.

One of the MRC guys has an S4 running over 500BHP

Whats the address of MRC? Also rough costs of a simple remap? Although i'd prob have a filter and exhaust job at the same time if I hadnt already replaced them.

Just went to look at this as it was only a few miles down the road in Chertsey:

Owner wasnt about, as he was out at a bodyshop, being sold via the trade you see, but I decided to have a quick nose about. All the shut lines etc were fine and no dodgy coloured panels, all arches solid etc etc.

Now, it was quiet clean, one small car parking dent, couple of scratches and a little bit of rust on a piece of trim, nowt major, but it just didnt seem to blow me away???

Wondering if its the colour putting me off? Ideally Nogaro blue, then black, then the dark blue in choice of colour for me really but thought silver would still be cool.

Another starnge thing is that my mate who works for VW has had a nose on their computer and it doesnt exist within the VAG world, suggesting it wasnt first registered in the UK, maybe an import?

Except most 4.2 V8 S4 Avants are going for £7k-£10k more!

Not sure its even worth the phone call, would give them the £10k today if it were true!

Ok further opinions if you would please guys. Red's not normally my thing but I have to admit this does look very clean:

It has rs4 intercooler, no pre cats and main cats bypassed (still have the cats), Porsche cayenne turbo brake setup, H+R Coilover suspension, DTS, H+R Anti roll bars, MRC Remapp with proven 345hp, MTM Reps, Miltek Exhaust, carbon fibre engine covers, AWE boost Gauge just been serviced by QST and had new rear pads to. Car has 95k on it but everything works as it should

He wants £12k for it.

Now standard decent ones are between 8 & 10k really, are the mods worth it? Prob as I would imagine the exhaust and brake mods alone are best part of £2k on their own.

Does sound good I have to admit, just the colour thats poss holding me back, well that and the feeling that maybe its quite a few quid still.

What would people estimate the cost of each of the following mods:

Yep, thats the man.

Hope he doesnt mind me asking questions on the costs of things like this etc, just doing research really as we all do when buying cars.

Lost over £10k in 2 years of owning the Evo, so this time if at all poss I want to avoid doing that and buy something that really fits the bill.
