Alex, I have a full set of coupe seats from a 91 3B engine series 4 S2. Black "quattro" cloth. good condition apart from slight wear on driver's bolster. In glasgow so you could pick up or we could work out a courier pick up?

haha. well if it's still going after 33 years it's gotta be more reliable than most cars.

£110 for the seats (front and back with ski bag in centre arm) and £30 if you want the matching door cards too (front and back). that fair? If you're serious i'll lift them down and get good photos all round. I'll need to work out the best way to post them cos i've never sent anything that big before. what part of the UK are you in? Just wondering if I might know anyone heading your way. When do you need them by the way?

i hate to be the bearer of bad news but i tried to send a set of seats and door cards a few months ago and none of the main couriers would take them due to the volumetic size

Best quote i got was over £100 to send 2 front seats, rear bench & door cards

Its different of course if you can send through a trade account

this could be a problem, because even if i could drive up i doubt the inside of an audi would fit inside a beetle!!!

I'll get you some pics tonight Alex if I can get to the garage before it gets dark.

worst case scenario is I stick the whole lot on a pellet and get it trailered up to a haulage company, who will deliver the pallet for £40. Pain to have to take it a distance before they'll deliver it but it means it's not impossible.

yep, sounds fine to me although slightly more risk of damage when they fork lift it. Should be ok though.

its the front seats that were the problem for me - rear bench and cards were do-able
most of the couriers state that the maximum circumference around any part of the package cannot exceed 2m

cunning plan. i'll see how the investigation goes. if the whole lot does go on a pellet the company my mate has recommended are very good. in fact it's dubbedup on this forum. stevie has had beetles and all sorts. currently building his split screen camper. made all the harder by having bits machined etc cos they're not standard. there is much porsche to be found on that bus. anyway, he's had stuff sent by pallet inc engines and always been happy.
