Hi,
What was diagnosed as a synchromesh issue between first and second at the weston RR day (shifting at anything above about 4-5k RPM results in a nasty grinding sound) and an oil leak that my ABY S2 Coupe has have prompted me to look for an new and better gearbox. I understand that the S4 gearbox is a direct swap for my current one.
The oil leak can be got-to and sorted out by taking out the gearbox (im told), which means that if im thinking of getting a new box to solve my synchromesh problem and deal with any future power upgrades, i may as well do this at the same time the oil leak is being fixed.
So, does anyone have any reason that my plan to fix the oil leak and put in an S4 gearbox at same time wouldnt work? And if not, anyone have one in good nick or know where i can get hold of one?
Cheers!
