Anyone know if 3b or 7a hydraulic pumps are same as Aby.
I know the carriers (brackets) are different but are pumps the same.
Suppose part No's would tell, i don't have access to that info ie ETKA.

Sometimes the most up-to-date information isn't the best, especially when you are looking for 2nd hand parts.

Ahh thanks Saltinot have both sets of prints & they all show the same pt No apart from first 3 digits, could this refer to carrier brackets or do you think a 3b would not be compatible with aby?.
This seems to be getting a bit deep now, Hope i can get this sorted as car sitting on friends drive with a huge oil slick under it ( pump let go & pump to bomb hose split @ 12 midnight last Tuesday) and wants it shifted by xmas.
Any ideas anyone, someone must have had same problem in the past.

                        You're welcome.

I've got the brackets from both 7A and ABY/ADU in the garage. The 7A/3B/ABY/ADU pumps will all fit in either bracket. However, you'll find that the ABY style bracket will not work with the 7A/3B setup.

Somewhere during production the pumps changed slightly. They went from using a sealing washer(early style) to an O-ring(later style), along with a banjo bolt, for attaching the hydraulic lines. This might explain the difference in the numbers. Physically the pumps are very similar.

I have just had this crappy job to sort on mine.
I only changed the pump because It made a noise, I'm off skiing in it and didn't want it puking its oil out on the way!
I too will not pay £450 for a part that makes no difference to engine BHP!
So I got one through wab, from Europarts. fitted it and it lasted 20 miles and spunked its guts out all over my nice clean engine= Not happy!
Orderd one from G&S £110- £40 surcharge. Looks identicale to europarts one. So far so good! 40 miles.
Both pumps were new, not reconned.

I told you that red shiit comes back to get you!
