I'm going to sell my entire car which is off the road at the mo. It's in Scotland tho which may not suit you, and I want to get rid of it as a whole, not in bits really...

        Irvin,

Is it off the road for anything specific?

Nothing specific, just circumstances. I've been really busy and the MOT ran out in late November. The car's sat in my underground space, and since I live and work in the town just now I don't need a car.
However, I'll MOT and tax it in the New Year so at least I can move it!
          But it's hardly mint...
The car spent its early years in Inverness, and the salty roads means there's quite a bit of rust underneath, and the front wings are a mess too.
Mechanically it's never wanted for anything.
My mech says the engine and box are in good shape, tho I've noticed it go into reverse instead of 1st a couple of times recently!
And it's had the odd stutter since the summer. Gave it a new fuel pump but that hasn't helped. I suspect cleaning the MAF might help, but again I haven't had the time or the need to try this out.
The courtesy light in the back stays on sometimes, and the rear wiper has a mind of it's own too. The fuses were changed but to no avail. All the electrics at the front are fine.
It got new discs and pads last Jan, and prior to that got new cats.
Also I'll be away a lot next year and I think it's time for a diesel!
Basically, I think the car should either be with someone who has time to refurb it themselves, or just used as spares. For me to pay my garage to sort it out, put on new wings, paint it, etc, I'd probably rather put that money towards a much newer diesel...

...not too bad if you've got the time then and don't need it as a daily driver. There's someone in work who was thinking about an S2, he was talking coupe for a long time and then did claim to want an Avant - even after slagging me off for the last 5 years about it!

If you want, you can PM a price and I can see if he's genuinely interested.

btw, had a good time at the Panto at the King's Theatre before Christmas. Was going to come down and introduce myself, but by the time the sea of people had dissapeared at the break - so had you

Hey, glad you enjoyed it.. It would be a bit tricky trying to push your way thru 1700 people all moving about at the same time, and I don't hang about any longer than I need to either!
Someone else seems to be interested in the car just now, so I'll maybe get back to you depending how that turns out. Or PM me at any time.
              Cheers.
