    Coupe door striker pin and hex screws

    i'm going to need to grind off one of my striker pins as the hex bolts are rounded out and i need to adjust the door hinges / latch to fit properly.

    So i need to replace the striker pin and the two hex head screws that secure it.
    Can anyone help me out?

    I had to replace one a good few years ago on my old cq20v. They came to no more than a tenner. Prices may have changed, so best checking with a dealers or vagparts.

    Base = 895 837 057A
    Striker = 895 837 035A
    Bolts = N 102 349 01.

      cheers again Jas

      I'd still prefer something off a breaker if anyone can help - at least a 10 day wait for parts from VAGparts or dealers due to the factory shutdown over christmas

        .

        Carefully grind slots into the heads of the screws, then use a impact driver, or tap a torx bit into the holes and hope it doesn't turn?

          yup. tried that. already fecked both my similar sized torx drives trying to get the feckers off. They are very firmly seized
          Planning on just grinding out the coutersunk screw heads and pulling it off tbh.
          This is the 6th door i've adjusted and all have come off easy except this one... probably some donkey using an air gun on it previously

            I take it it's deffo the striker pin that's at fault? Stick Insect put up a brilliant post on adjusting door hinges to ensure a perfect close a while back. May be worth doing a search?
