My avant had a towbar when I bought it. Had it taken off within a week. It may still be at the Lion garage who do all my work. Jason has piles of old bits taken off my car lying around.
I'll ask him on Monday and let you know. I've also got some towbar electrics at home waiting to go in the bin. They're from a Golf IV and Passat B5 but could easily be adapted.
A new one is around £800+VAT IIRC.
