WTB: 90A alternator to fit AAN engine

Above says it all. Mine is dead and I need another. A regulator to fit a Valeo alternator might get things back on the road though...

    Anyone able to help?

Thanks guys... I sent a message to AudiBits2 yesterday but not heard back yet. Not sure with looking deeper if one off an ABY engine is the same as off an AAN now.

My alternator is a Valeo and the regulator / brushes are a much different set up from the Bosch units. Shame because every man and his dog sells bits for Bosch alternators. Took some pics of the commutator(?) with my phone last night and I think that it would be a waste to put new brushes in to the existing unit. There is no sign of arking but the inner ring has a grove over 1mm deep in it from the last 175k miles worth of use. Can only be time before the whole thing fails.

Must replace the TCP at the same time, it's dripping every time the engine is run now.. The joys of running S cars...

Looks like a new one might be needed. Funds permitting....
