          should be able to re-condition a K24 for about £250 i think.....

or check on ebay.de - there was a K24 (no idea on condition) currently at €52

          Cheers,

It's in german, and paying those guys it's something of a pain (I had to go to the bank to wire the cash direct when I bought something from a turk living in germany. Language barrier was real thick n gooey, I can tell ya) but check out:

A buy it now K26 turbo for £400

Maybe Mihnea or one of the experts can advise on whether that would do the trick. As far as I know, it's an RS2 job. Will take a few days to get here I guess if you buy it today.

            Hope u get sorted soon

            Cheers, Paul

              Hmmm.....

looks a straight k26 to me (2664 cold side, 2672 for the RS2 one), which isn't exactly an upgrade to the K24.
Cold side doesn't flow any more than the std s2's K24 (only allowing some more peak boost) while having more lag 'cause of the larger turbine housing.

This is a real bummer - I just shipped my spare S2 turbo to its buyer yesterday. I sold it on eBay a week or so ago for £90. It wasn't reconditioned or anything, but it would have got you up and running again.

Keep looking, there's normally something happening on eBay.

If you are good with a spanner and can get to Scotland quickly then you can have my S2 turbo & EM for free....
....on the condition that you remove them from my car and replace them both with the RS2 varieties that I have sitting in my living room!

Not much of an offer really, but an offer all the same.

If you're still stuck for one when you get back - give me a shout. I might have had time to get my Turbo & EM swapped over.

Hi Beetie, i will be changing my turbo this year, and i have had a quote from AET turbos, and this is their response:

The standard replacement for your vehicle would cost £340 + VAT exchange.

A K26 hybrid turbo, similar specification to a RS2 unit, would cost £695 + VAT exchange. This is a direct replacement unit.

                        Please advise.

                        Best regards

                        Grant Parker

                        Hope this helps

Will this have any complications with the campsite bookings under the name Graham?
