  • Wanted Scat rods & gt2871

    I realise i will probably have to buy these from 034 but if someone has changed plans etc, and have these parts for sale i may be interested, looking to get 400 bhp from my ABY 90 quattro (type 85) conversion.

      Having spoken to many people about the 2871 the standard response is just get a 3071?! I too like the idea of 0 lag but the 3071 is supposed to just offer more with little downsides. In a 90q this is going to be great, at 1250Kg they're not exactly slow with 136bhp in them It'll never sound as good as the NA 10v though

      Be good to see some pics as and when you have them, typ85 90q porn is always good! Are you going to graft quattro arches onto it like the one on here a while ago?

        i have scat rods with arp2000 for 400euro.
        i sold all now, but i will have 100sets 2 weeks later.

            I have set of fibre glass stick on quattro arches if you want them.

                          I had similar goals (c.400bhp) and had decided on GT2871 for minimal lag. However, plans changed and I now have a GT3071 and the head work has helped keep lag really low. Go for a GT3071 - you won't be disappointed. I had hoped to visit Western Performance tomorrow to get some figures, but wheel bearings and an arcing issue prevent that.

                          AFAIK all GT3071s are "R". I'm sure I read that somewhere on here.

                          Alternatively, look at the hybrid that DJones used. It's pretty much got the best of both worlds between GT2871 and GT3071. A bit more expensive though.

                            The MD357 is in the 3071 - 3076r range of boost and power

                            A 2871r boost quicker than it

                            Cracking turbo shame is cost £1500 plus vat

                              so what manifold would you use with a gt2871 rs2 or wagners evo rs2 ?
                              never set your expectations to high that way you are never disapointed
