Laptop wanted

Im after a useable laptop for vagcomming,mine has died.Dont fancy risking buying one off ebay.As long as it runs XP with usb and has a decent battery i would be interested.

if you only need one for vagcom,why dont you get the vagcom gadgets sold on ebay for that matter?I have one and it does the job nicely!Perfect for erasing and viewing error codes and also you can do everything you want like vagcom,only it takes a bit more time as you dont have the luxury of the buttons and size of vagcom

Which one works for you?

I bought one and had to send it back as it didn't work on my car.

i need to do more complex things than a scan tool can do though,i have one of the orange coloured ones off ebay although they are useful its very limited.I also have a 'snapon mt-2500' scanner but vagcom wins hands down everytime(when doing vag cars).

this is what i bought and it does everything without any problems.It is more time consuming to operate,but you get everything that vagcom does.It is called v-checker and you may look for it by that name in ebay(out of hongkong naturally)

They are about as cheap as it gets and pretty decent laptops start at around £300.
