    Wanted 1990s Blaupunkt CD radio

Wanted: a circa 1994 Blaupunkt single CD radio unit to go into my RS2 and make it look totally OEM. - Before anyone says it I know most UK cars came with Sony but they still dont look right, wheras the flat front Blaupunkts do.

Ideally an RD/RDM 104 (london/keil) or a later RD/RDM126 (london/munchen/toronto/sevilla). Must be in good working order and with code or keycard.

Someone must have pulled one of these out of a car in favour of newer kit?

Watching constantly, but missed out on one the other week. Most of the ebay stuff is much newer. Some on German ebay but my German is not good enought to know if the discription is telling me the unit is in working order or not.

What you want is the Blaupunkt Gamma head-unit complete with RDS output to the OBC... Really hacks me off that UK got the Sony units cos of some styling / appeal thing. There is a version of the Gamma with CD alright - maybe Germany only from memory.

Thes units are infamous for the pixels going in the display rendering them almost useless. Then with typical foresight you have to buy the whole faceplate electronics gubbins as the display is not detachable. They are around £100 . If Blaupunkt still have one and you are prepared to wait.
I understand what you are saying. These were top end units in their day and understated. The London had variocolour which you could tailor the colour of your display. I have a Sevilla RD126 that is in good condition which has an orange display. If you desperately must have one, PM me.

The understated look is enhanced by them sitting virtually flush with the console panels around. I wasnt aware of the display issue as the only one I know of (in a friends 993) is perfect, anyone else had a dead display on one of these?

I do have a Gamma CD available with security code and instructions (in german) i bought from a Slovenian fella here on S2 Forum.
Unit it's ok and working order and it's made by Panasonic single cd no changer controls RDS and lights (the working ones!) are matching the dash lights
also you have info on the autocheck display in the RS2.
The only problem with it it's that few lights on the buttons are dead..... afaik they're easy to change by a car radio repairer thoug....
here you can find pictures and description:http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27713
I did'nt put the unit on mine because i putted a Concert 2 with the OEM din size 6 cds changer on my RS2....
