Wanted Audi s2 Coupe

Hi, I'm looking into buying an Audi S2 Coupe in the next couple of weeks. I don't know an awful lot about them. I was going to buy a mk3 golf VR6, but I've always liked the S2's & thought I'd take another look into them before I bought anything.
I would like an ABY if possible, I've only got about £2600 to play with though. I'm not that bothered by mileage as it wont be staying standard, so a re-build will be on the cards anyway. Tidy body work is a must though. Colour isn't that important either. Anyone know of any please let me know, if not I guess it'll be the VR6. lol

have seen a few s2's go for around that money but they certainly were not the best you can buy being at the bottom of the market. Expect them to have either a misty past, tired bodywork or a serious amount of work to be done to get them up to spec. However if you're not worried about doing the work yourself then you might just be lucky and find a gem!

How about an Avant? They are all ABY and more likely to be in your price range than a decent ABY Coupe

Yeah I'd be planning on doing all the work myself. I've got 6k but after paying my debts I can 't really budget much more than I have, maybe 3k tops. I suppose it will depend on if I can find one I like, if so I might put a bit more out. we'll see.

I did look at an avant, but I'd rather the coupe if possible. Just have to wait & see what happens.

I'd like the ABY if possible, but as for specs I'm not that bothered. Standard one would be good & then I can go from there & build it up as I want.

Depending on what power you are aiming for, you may not need a rebuild

Depending on the mileage it might have to be done. I've seen a couple in my price range which don't look too bad, but they always come & go before I have a chance to look.

Should also add, an Avant may be more tempting once youve seen afew of them on here!
A few select mods makes them look alot more appealing

for coffin carriers which they ain't that good at

tbh for 3k you might be lucky with an aby, just have to search pistonheads/ebay. You could have a word with butchers2 on here as he's on about selling his but not sure what he wants if you don't mind a 20v with full aby running gear.
