S2 Front Bumper

Hey, I'm after an S2 front bumper, any colour, with or without lights, with or without grills, with or without wash pods, anything really, unless someone has a perfect complete unit with pods, grills, lights etc in base black for 17 pence.
Let me know, many thanks folks.
Also anyone got a 3 spoke stering wheel kicking about?

Good to see somone close (ish) by, Car is a 1994 80E, engine-less at the mo, i will be putting the 2.8 in from my rather bent Coupe, plan on making a sleeper type 80 saloon, after just moving house i can't run to another S2 for a while, sold my last one 9 months ago, a 95 Avant in concours condition, sold to fund house move, mature lady who bought was overjoyed with it, untill a snow plough removed around 40% of the car during February. Another great car off the planet.
After some bits and bobs to go on the 80, hope nobody minds me doing this, bought the coupe following the sale of the Avant, bought it bent to do this conversion on the 80 now sat on my in-laws drive. Passes the time i suppose! Daily driver is an 02 Passat Diesel, my better half drives a 1999 A3 1.8TQ.

I saw JAS11n's Tdi on the TDi forum, boy done wonders with that old 80, looks just what i am aiming for with mine, i just hope i can make mine as good as his!!! With mine being black it should help with the 80 Competion/Zender look which were around in the early-mid 90's. Alway's fancied an 80 Competition!!!
Still trying to work out whether to bother with the V6 or i may try a 2.3 which i have been offered recently from a nice guy at work, fuel prices etc...., as i want to use it as an everyday smoker and give the Passat to her indoors, A3 a bit small now.
Still got the 2.0 from the 80 which works A1, oh god i don't know.
Ok, as stated i would like an S2 front bumper, 3 spoke 'old type' steering wheel (non airbag) and eventually a set of coupe headlights. The coupe i have was stripped of all the nice parts before i bought it, just a shell with the oily bits.
At the moment i aim to leave the inside alone, most of the lovely inside bits were always made for Coupe's and Avants, still the interior of my 80 is quite good, just fitting a 4 way electric window conversion and remote central locking using an OE swithblade key, more on that to follow, quite a nice easy effective conversion.
So any ideas, advice or don't do's are more than welcome.
Which ever way i go i will post pic's etc, just to give you lot a giggle at least!!!!!!

imo v6 and 2.3 are about the same in fuel costs and the 2 litres are actually worse than people think on town driving. 20v would be good for the sound.

audipartz on here has a 3 spoke steering wheel and v6 front bumper (same as s2 minus washer jets) both for sale and is located in swindon area.

I saw skulls Competion, looks really good, he has done some trick mods wuth that car, must be fate but i did the remote locking conversion a while back, then my bro gave me his old switchblade key and he changed the boards over, looks nice with a switchblade hanging from an 80 ingnition barrel.
I'll get hold on audipartz and have a look at the bumper, not too bothered about the jet's, just need to get a deep bumper on her!!!
I used a Spall kit for the windows as all four were manual, nice kit and piece of p**s to fit, just need to grab hold of some oe switches as the Spall ones are too clumpy and look *****. I grabbed some off an old A6 form a local breakers last week so i will try them first. Not sure of the fitment yet, but hey, have jigsaw will use!!!
Used to have a 20V Coupe, sounded the nuts, would be a nice conversion, the more i sit and think about things i may just leave the 2.0 in for now and swing over to looks first, was due to lift it out on Wednesday, all drained and un-plugged but it works well, am i being silly, do i drag it out, shall i leave it???????
Off to work now so will have a think during the night.
Had it machine buffed last week, christ that base black shines well!!!

I have loads of coupe bits if I can be of help. Got standard coupe bumpers in good nick or an s2 bumper with a big crack down one corner (no grills or jets).

Well as you are aware i need an S2 bumper, coupe/s2 headlights, also a 3 spoke wheel and boss, so if you have anything reasonably priced pm me and i'll go from there.

Just decided at last (after 3 months) to leave the 2.0 in for now, i have just poss sold the A3, so need 4 wheels turning as the Passat will be stolen by the good lady in my life.
Life is just one big descision! I think, but i'm not sure.

As Steve Creswell of C & R Enterprises,

correctly implores and advises, never build a car you can buy !

Buy a 2.8 / 2.6 V6 Quattro Saloon in Silver and try that out, like Jas11n's, except with the sound of the V6, even if it doesn't have the poke of an S2 or economy of a diesel.

If you plans change, you can always put in a decent ABY S2 engine into the B4 saloon and have a lovely rare RHD S2 Saloon, to get the poke.

As you seem to be happy to swop engine's at the drop of a hat.

If the V6 starts to hurt your pocket, but you want more poke than a V6, but not an ABY S2 engine, take out the V6 and put in a 2.0 16v Diesel with a decent inter-cooler and chip it, or if you want to go mad, try either a 2.5 V6 diesel or a 2.5 five cylinder from a VW Transporter van, ( assuming this isn't too far fetched ) ?

A 2.0E ( 8v) in a B4 saloon is not bad, but a 2.0 16v ( Engine Code - ACE ) is better and still a lot less petrol than an S2, but much less poke also, obviously.

Very hard to get the poke of an S2 and the ecomomy of a diesel, with the weight of a B4 Avant quattro.

When I drive my 2.0 16v FWD Avant, apart from the obvoius lack of poke, the lack of grip is another feature that is noticeable by its absence, but not impossible to live without.

Above is possible food for thought or just more permutations to make the decision even harder, but just to reiterate, never build a car you can buy, too much hard work, much easier to buy the correct one you want, and enjoy sorting that easily rather than fabricating brackets etc., unless of course you have your ideal car sitting beside you as a crashed donor car, but only then.

Ok, here we are, S2 bumper now bought, 2.0 8v staying put, cam-belt tensioner seized the other day so am in the midst of stripping and replacing, seems like a fair amount of work to convert to V6 just for a workday smoker so am going to keep the 2.0 in and live with it, saves a few shillings anyway! Waterpump being changed too as it was making a few grumbles. With regards to replacing it with another bigger engined saloon or estate i will give it a miss, i am fond of this one and once i get the oily bits back up to standard it 'should' give me some piece of mind for the future, and it's black and i love black cars!!! I will post some sorry looking pics later as she is at the mo, then possibly a few as and when i change a few items so long as i don't bore anybody senseless, mind you i doubt any of us has any sense or we wouldn't be playing with 15 year old bahn-stormers would we!!!
