Urgently require S2 Coupe cats (this evening or tomorrow!) with bolts and preferably with gaskets to mate to downpipes, as the bolt at the top of one of mine has sheared.
Based in Derbyshire - DE73 - but am willing to travel if they're in good nick. The bolts are fairly important mind, the reason I'm in this mess in the first place is the exhaust hasn't been touched in 12 years so the bolts are all rusted into one solid lump!
Think I may have to write it off as a bad job, and get a new exhaust (complete) in a couple of weeks. ****.
If it's like mine then the bols are not bolts, they are studs and they are welded to the flange on the down pipe / centre section of exhaust. It's a c**p idea and one of the reasons I had to get a whole new exhaust system.
If it's blowing, try sealing it up with some exhaust paste until you can get a replacement.

I've just double check on a spare RS2 down pipe I have and they are indeed bolts BUT they are so corrored that they are in effect welded to the flange and will need drilling out. I've tried doing this under the car and it didn't work, you'd really have to take the downpipe off and get it on a bench drill to get them out.

Spare RS2 downpipe eh... How much work is that to fit to an ABY? If I've gotta pull this sucker to bits and get everything blasted and chromed I might as well get everything I want!
Mike, when I finally get round to sorting my exhaust out I'll have ABY cats and DP for sale, I'll let you know but not sure when that will be, emissions passed the MOT in April no probs

Cheers mate - I've got 2 of the bolts in on the O/S Cat so I'm thinking I might get away with my cats, but it sounds like an opportunity to get some chromed and put on.
