    heater matrix coolant hose wanted

Well i've managed to cross-thread the highly stupid pi$$y little plastic plug/housing in the heater matrix hose so i need a new one

Bodged it with some PTFE, insulation tape and a cable tie so will hopefully get me to peterborough tomorrow and back again

Anyone changed to samcos want to sell the o.e hose ?

Or even better anyone have a spare samco hose they want to sell ?

    Cheers

If you can post a pic, I'll have a look in my stash

If I have it, it's yours to have.

its the one if you look directly at the back of the engine bay you will see two hoses going into the bulkhead for the heater matrix, iirc its the one on the left with the screw on it.

same as 20v's and iirc v6's

Little trick if the screw won't come out do not force it as you have found out it snaps all the time but to bleed the system fill the fluid as usual when all the air is out of the rad etc etc then take the hose off the bulkhead let the water flow out of the fitting of the bulkhead ( heater matrix) then fill the hose you have removed and fit it back on
Works all the time the tiny amount of air you will just flow in the rest of the system out into the header tank never had a issue in all the rads i have replaced on 80/coupe's

          cheers Raj

A good trick and i'll remember that, but mine is the total opposite.
It slowly works itself undone then starts leaking coolant.
I currently have the king of all bodges holding it in, loads of PTFE tape on the thread, gaffer tape wrapped around the hose holding it in place and a cable tie around that just incase
