    S2 rear left (n/s) driveshaft

I need an S2 rear left (nearside) driveshaft for my Torsen diff swap on the CQ.
I don't know if this is coupe specific or whether an avant shaft would also work. This is to marry up to the V8 diff flange as the CQ shafts are different!

    If i'm right the P/N is 895501203C

Has anyone one got one knocking about?

    Cheers

You don't need to swap the driveshafts over - you can just swap the flanges over to match up. Seen this done with a 7A rear diff transplant into an S2 - essentially the same diff but with different flanges... Swapped the 7A flanges onto S2 driveshafts and all OK...

Oh unless your diff was supplied without flanges - that would be a bummer.

yup - thats fine with the one side Paul, but because you need to use one of the V8 flanges when you swap the diffs, the CQ shaft will not mate up to the V8 flange due to bolt sizes, so need an S2 shaft on one side for it all to fit

I'm confused now... Aren't you putting the V8 diff internals into a CQ diff housing ?

How come the V8 flange is needed ?

Maybe I need to dig up the old thread on this subject... My V8 diff internals are probably rusting away by now - long forgotten in a dark oily box

yup, thats what i'm doing Paul.

from Jeffer's how to, you need to use the left V8 flange, because it does not have the difflock gear.
From my deductions, becasue the S2 and CQ flanges and shafts use a different bolt size but the flanges are interchangeable on the diff i can use the right side CQ flange with the V8 diff, but because you have to use the left V8 flange to delete the difflock gear, the CQ d/shaft won't fit it but an S2 shaft will slot straight in, if that makes sense?
