Avant fuel gauge sender

Shortly after I picked my car up the fuel pump died and I replaced it with a Bosch 040 pump. I never filled the car to the bring before the pump went pop so unfortunately I don't know the gauge's behaviour before fitting the Bosch pump.

I've had the sender out of the tank and moved it manually and still the gauge doesn't go to the top. I can't see any broken wires or any reason that the sender wouldn't read a full tank and I cleaned the contacts with some contact cleaner but it's still the same.

Does anyone have a spare Avant level sender that I can try/buy? Known working if possible

I had this problem ..but wire was broken between sender ....If you go on S2central there is a calibration write up there for the gauge

Yes I saw your write up with the broken wire.. checked for that and it's all OK. Gauge calibration sounds good though!
