I forgot.... at 200 quattro, that hose had a small tube insight for sound absorbing...i understand... dont know iff is something like this at S2!

Took the hose to a repair shop yesterday, they said it was beyond repair and that it would cost £70+ to rebuild the hose including fitting the vibration damper.

Im still on the hunt for a second hand hose....

I do have one somewhere,finding it is the problem.Will look this weekend.

Spink if you can find it i would be most grateful!!! I could really do with one asap as the car is not drivable at all now obviously.

Speed Flow quoted me £85.00+Vat to rebuild that hoses in braided high pressure hose.

I've seen a version of the Speedflow one on MarkH's car many years ago... He was happy with it at the time - nicely made, higher spec than factory and it was cheaper than new from Audi.

i was told that if you try to make it out of braided hose,the steering becomes more noisey than OEM.Not sure if it is better than OEM though.At least OEM seems to last about 10years or so.
