make sure they fit a vibration damper too. Or the pump will get noisy. I was quotted about ÂŁ70 +vat by pirtec to have one made up.

          Good luck

This is fitted to the center of the hose.

              IMG_1388.jpg

Supposedly reduces vibrations to make steering more silent and also dampens the noise from the hydraulic pump. Thats what the hose expert at pirtec told me anyway I thought it was just where someone had joined the hose before hand..

I had a pipe without that on on the coupe, custom made as the pipe had a small leak, no more noisy than usual IIRC. Looking at getting another one as I think my current one is leaking too (at that point too)

Thats also the exact place where the one on my RS2 blew. It tore the damper right apart.

Its good to know that a pipe with out the damper makes little or no difference to one with it fitted.

                  Cheers for that..
