    Perfect spec would be:

    silver, blue or black
    sunroof
    heated, electric black leather
    climate

Might consider an estate if its the right spec.

    Cheers

Sunroof OR climate, sunroof std on all cars without climate- optional with and very rare.
AEL is 140 hp, AAT is 115 hp
Leather is quite rare too. The SE spec models have great multi adjustable seats,
I have a 1995 AEL saloon with 6 speed, sunroof & SE cloth seats- cost £800 2 yrs ago and was the 6th one that i looked at and had the highest mileage- be prepared too look around and remember that they don't come up for sale too often.
Good choice and good luck finding one
Great car, 40 mpg round town and 50 on a run

WHats the trick with the mpg, my old man has AEL one, 36.2 most of the time.
No cat, was blocked to beggery, smokes like hell when I'm driving it!
Bog standard rest of it bar the S6 leather!

I have AEL and consumption went down when I started to drive it. My lady use to drive it for work and caused me problems for not reving the engine. It can be driven at 1000 up to 1500rpm but the milage is poor then and it starts to smoke alot. If you rev it properly then the smoke is gone and consumption drops. It's a nasty car for the town and it just loves highway or an open road.

I have just found the options price list for these cars and sunroof with climate and electric heated leather would have set you back the best part of £4.5K.

Whats the difference between mother of pearl and pearl effect?

Presume its just a deeper shine to the paintwork?

              I have a 1996 A6 TDI Quattro Avant and I get 44MPG consistently.. the on-board computer can show 42-52MPG, but when I calculate it, it's always 44MPG.. I get 700 miles on a tank.

I've retrofitted cruise control and am about to install the heated seat wiring loom - was flippin hard to get the element in the seat though.

Can you make a short report how you conected the wires and how you activated the function. I have all parts but I just can't get my self to start doing anything on that car because I hate it.

Removed the internals of the cat(blocked), fitted a EGR blanking platehttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Land-Rover-Dis...713.m153.l1262, got a used inlet manifold off one of the guys on here cant remember who- cleaned that out(sandblasted/soaked/ported) every service i spray a can of Wurth intake cleaner into the manifold. Mpg increased by at least 5 mpg since that was done- the original inlet was caked after 220k . Fitted a K&N Filter (more for being reusable than for any performance increase- think its the same as a digifant mk2 gti), stripped the injectors and cleaned them in an ultrasonic bath. When i change the fuel filter i 1/2 fill it with forte injector cleaner and then top up the rest with diesel. Its on 230k now and runs like a dream....
