I never said anything about custom hubs, I was mentioning about custom pcd adapters.

I've just picked up hubs from an avant so I don't need to do anything like this, just got to fit them now.

Last time I saw they was around £80 each.
Your saying about custom hubs, dont mind paying £80 a corner for them if they are custom made, but where would i get this done? Where can i get a technical drawing of a s2 hub, or the tecnical spec of the hub, anyone got a scrap hub, ive got microstation so can draw it up

ive seen a lot written about these, and did some calcs a while ago, stress/strain etc. mostly sheer stress on the head of the bolt and to be honest couldnt see a real problem with them, as long as the correct spiggot rings are used and everything else is correctly torqued up, you can even buy these bolts with TUV approval, so they cant be that bad!

In all fairness to them, it seems to me to be quiet an elegent solution to the problem, but still in my opinion not the right one! If i was to buy a car that had the incorrect PCD wheels fitted with these bolts i would wonder what else had been "bodged" for what of a better word, which is why when i found these wheels, very cheap, i thought a better solution would be to get it done properly and have it all re-drilled, but the lack of room for movement on the hub is quiet a setback!

im still thinking the redrilling of m12x1.5 may be another solution.

if i was going to go to the trouble of RS2 hubs, i would not use the LM's id get a nice old school set of Porsche D90's or something similar available from the porsche range

There is another option, i'm not too hot on them though and it's wobble bolts http://www.priracing.co.uk/product.php?xProd=1168

I don't think they'd be of use in this case though

and the wheels being way more expensive then a rs2 rear brake conversion it might still be a solution
Your 100% right which is why i've been pushing the pcd adapters

It aint that simple redrilling hubs especially the RS2 ones.

    a) What do you do about brake disc bolt patterns?

    b) RS2 hubs on the front are a straight swap on the Avant, on the rear it is not as you have to change the handbrake and cable and caliper ( drum handbrake in the hub, changes the hat height of the rear discs )

A lot of hassle, in saying that i'm in the same position so I can talk

ive got a set of 17" BBS LM's satin gold centres with polished Lip, the rims on there own reatail at £2300 + the nearly new Bridgestone Poteza's on them..

    the problem is 5x114.3

was just thinking about the edge of the hub being so close so re drilling from 112 to 114.3 not being an option, but what if i was to have the new holes drilled to M12x1.5 instread of the M14x1.5 thats currently being used, this would bring the hole back to the same place +/- .15mm
