Can anyone tell me the difference between the ignition modules 4A0 905 351 and 4A0 905 357? I have a MY92 80 Quatttro 2.8 V6 fitted with a 4A0 905 357 and want to know if the 4A0 905 351 will fit and work ok? I am lead to believe it will but i both numbers are fitted to a combination of 80's and A4's both the 2.8 and 2.6 V6 models?but there must be some knid of difference between them?
Cheers guys hope someone can help?
Money is everything! Second to Power of course!!! But money breeds power??
AFAIK - they are interchangeable - pinout is certainly the same... I believe some versions to be higher specified than others but I know others have swapped various POS units from V6 in and out of I5T engines without any noticeable problems...

Single difference, that mounting holes and heatsink are different. To mount them properly you need some drilling etc. Quite a pita on URS4.
On high hp applications, stock turbo items are preferable, because they are more precise.
I am running V6 items on my AAN and I'm personal witness of 3 success replacement stories (in real life) without any problems.

I didn't realise the physical mountings were different spacing - that is a PITA - cos a good contact to the chassis is needed for POS thermal management.

I have used self adhesive i486DX cpu heat sink (got box of them form work somehow) on urs4 and urs6 . Few holes in it, bolt end stage to sink, few cable zips to orginal mounting place - job done, even orginal box fits.
BTW - was impressed by heat from the downpipe and manifold when doing that. Nothing strange, that usually hotter end stage which is above downpipe fails...
On my coupe - piece of flat alloy profile from Halfords analog does the cooling job.

4A0 905 357 must have been superseded with 4A0 905 351. (weirdly, the FA has no info on the 357 versions, but I've got one in front of me, go figure)
As said above, you'd get away with using a POS from an I5 if push came to shove.
Here's the mounting difference between an I5 POS and a V6 POS.
My bro runs one V6 POS in his ABY Coupe (other is the normal one).
