wanted: S2 hubs and rear rotors

I was wondering if anybody was breaking a car or knows of any breakers that will ship to the USA.

    Cheers!

You don't need the rear rotors from UK. The 2002 and up A4Q rear rotors are the same at the S2.

They can have my car when they pry my cold dead fingers from the steering wheel.

But he's still needs S2 hubs & bearings, right?

That's the sticking point of USA guys doing the 5 bolt conversion. The paucity of parts that our UK friends have easy access to. Getting the hubs is the roadblock for us in States. Boy if anybody ever developed an easy and in-expensive way to convert they would get swamped by buyers with 4x108 cars!

Hey Panzer, a ran into a few set backs. I wrecked the car so I ended up getting the B4 hood and S2 bumper put on the car along with a full paint job.
The block is being bored to match the pistons. After that, work around the house for a couple months. Engine assembly in Fall I guess...

                  Desmo, you's the MAN!

Just wondering, what are using for brakes on your car? Did you go 5 bolt and are you using upgraded front brakes, like Brembo or Wildwood?

I have been thinking about this:

A possible solution is to machine the 4 x 108 hub and get a coded welder to weld a ring onto the turned down hub. If this is then machined for 5 x 112 PCD then that is what you need.

                    The 4 x 108 mm hub is a smaller diameter than the 5 x 112.

This will probably be a lot cheaper than importing S2 hubs or paying $800 for a new set.

Hi Stick! Thought about going that route but have been ....

advised that it will not hold up here in the USA. So-called experts here in the States say that I should score and if necessary PAY BIG BUCKS to get the proper hubs and bearing than trust my life and vehicles safety to redrilled hubs.
                      Oh well

I was thinking of a wild idea the other day.Since i hate my wheel bolts so much,i was thinking of having a shop drill a 5X112 bolt pattern into my hub and having 5 Studs welded/pressed into these 5 holes.Use an A8 disc and i am good to go.
                        What you think?

Wizard, there is not enough meat on the hub to do that I'm afraid. The 4 x 108 hub is smaller diameter than the 5 x 112 S2.

                          The options are

                          1) buy S2 hubs new or second hand. Big bucks

                          2) Have custom hubs made. Very big bucks ( main problem is the splining)

                          3) Have the existing 4 stud hub machined down and a ring welded by a 'real' welder. This needs to be machined to suit the new pattern. ( affordable)

                          4) sell the Audi and buy a Citroen Saxo ( not worth considering!)

If something is welded properly with the right marterials then it is stronger than the original.

If your mate offers to do it for a fiver then forget it!

The fronts may fit but I'm sure the rears wouldn't. The ones fom an Audi 100 turbo ( FWD only).
