    H&R RS2 Springs . . . .

As above, am on the hunt for a set of RS2 H&R Springs.

Anyone know of a set for sale?

Hey Lloyd, how come? you want to go back to stiffness?

i was thinking myself for a set of HRs but the S2 ones as they are cheaper and a tad less stiff than RS2 ones.

I still havent tried the ones i had modified,so i may wait until i try them out before doing anything else..

Yes, I do want to try a set out. I never bothered to fit the set I acquired last year.
Wish I had hung on to them now! Never mind - they went to a good home....

S2 H&Rs are the best for a road vehicle.

Rather subjective BRY. If and when I get my hands on a set, I will also see if I can get their spring rates nailed down once and for all. I still have links with my old Mech Eng dept. I reckon a few beers might temp a tech into testing them.

Bry is right, S2 Avant has the RS2 ones and the ride is harsher for real but the handling is top notch.

The S2 ones are softer sprung and offer more comfort.

IMHO the H&R's RS2 spring were to harsh i think the standard springs are perfect and an RS2 sits a little to low at the rear on H&R's.

What dampers did you run your old H&R on?

As I have several circlip grooves on these Bilstein's, I will try out a higher setting when running the H&R's (If I manage to find a set!)

I ran the S2 with RS2 dampers and S2 H&R's without aircon it was perfect. The RS2 on RS2 dampers and RS2 H&R's it was too harsh for normal road use. RS2 standard springs feels just right well planted the best way to put it.

the only thing i dont like on my bilsteins/OEM springs setup now is the fact that on tight turns the car does dip a bit more than my liking.Apart from that,i think that that it also looks better with the HRs (even though a 20mm drop would still be sufficient for me)

The rear bilsteins can be adjusted due to the grooves but how will that look in the end...? From fotos of those that use them, the back only looks lower when the car is full of people or trunk full of stuff!

...or sits a bit high at the front!

I've got RS2 dampers with S2 H&R's on my avant, I'd agree it's a little higher at the front that the back with them too, not excessive though. I can only compare to standard setup on a coupe and H&R setup with Bilteins on a coupe; I always thought the avant had a very good set-up out of the lot. A little more pitch/dive than I'd like but other than that gives a much better look & feel to the car without much comprimise on comfort.

                          My 2c.

                          Cheers

I think I might have found a cheap source of the RS2 H&R's....

the top two hits list the price as
                              EU326.56 (£291.32) and EU376.84 (£336.15) plus delivery.

Note they list the reference as 29969 which is the correct H&R code....

Can anyone with good German skills have a look and confirm please?

certainly looks to be about £200 cheaper than the uk.
