6 speed box for a '94 ABY Coupe.

As the thread title says ladies & gents, i either need some very good advice on replacing the diff bearings in my gearbox (passenger side noisey) or a s/h CGR box. Can anyone please help?

you need to unbolt the drive flanges, take off the diff cover plate and it should just pull out, then you can replace the bearings and slot it back in

Have you done this squire? My mechanic seems to think it'll be easy enough. Anybody know the part numbers?

Hi, where did you get these drawings? Was the rear easy to do?

To be honest my mechanic sent up in the car on a 2 post ramp and i ran the car up to about 30-40 mph. He then told me it was the passenger bearing in the diff. It sounds bloody awful! Hope this helps? I realize that such noises transmit down shafts etc, making it harder to be sure exactly which bearing has gone.

                Schematic off the FA

Looks an easy job with the box off, maybe not so with it on the car, depends on access.

Drain oil, Unbolt drive flanges & pull out, undo diff cover bolts and tap off the diff cover, pull out diff
