Interested in your turbo option as I was also looking at upgrading to this instead of an RS2 for better response and without RS2 turbo lag. 034 Motorsport recon they work well with RS2 chip sets, so easy 350 to 380bhp available. Not sure as yet whether it fits RS2 manifold though?!

i think i might stay with the rs2 turbo, but not 100% yet what to do, will mull it over later today and decide, if i keep the rs2 turbo il take it to Mrc for a remap lookin at about 380+

Considered a CT350? Cheaper than the BB Garrets and still do good power.

i think jamo is right. go for something a bit bigger if you are to. otherwise the extra few hp will be expensive ones.

3071 or 3076 seem good options and popular. never hear mouch on the 3082. not sure why.

RS2 to 2871 for me equals about 25-50 bhp more but 100+ ft / lb torque less doesn't make sense if you have the RS2 turbo remapped it would be better value than replacing it with a 2871.

If you were going from K24 to 2871 then yes it would

the RS2 turbo gives less power than 2871 but gives more torque true?? and gives more lagg as i think

wich one it´s more dangerous for our stock rods???

i am very happy with my new k24 7200 boosting 2.0bar and around 400hp ,and as you said, pay a new garret turbo like the 2871 it´s some expensive for the few upgrade...

                      good luck Nip

thats a lot of hp and boost on the rs2 turbo there.

torque kills rods at this level. we are not revving high enough to have rpm bolt issues and the like. id be very careful if I were you with stock rods in a 2 bar rs2 car.

from here at 400hp. you gotta think about the impending lag for more hp. 35R time maybe if we talk garrett.

what fuel is being used in the rally car though. E85, toluene mix, racing juice. thats what measn it can hang on for longer without death. the turbo at 2.2bar is gonna be dead soon.
