Flywheel pilot bearing for a KV engine.

Have you tried a bearing specialist, it gives the sizes on the FA?

If you know the sizes and more importantly the Bearing ID no. then I have used Brammer bearings

They have always been helpful and reasnably priced whenever I have called them.

        Dan

edit: the bearing is a needle roller, size is 18 X 24 X 16 and I think the bearing number is BK1816

I went down the bearing manufacturer route on monday. The trouble is I have 2 different sizes for the same Audi part number and I don't know which it is that I need.

The bearing we fitted into Gaz's UR last sunday had the number F85706 stamped on the casing.

When I cross referrence this number accross Timken, SKF, INA etc They still have 2 different sizes.

            ID - 18mm
            OD - 24mm
            Width - 16mm

            or

            ID - 15mm
            OD - 24mm
            Width 26mm

Most manufacturers tell me that it is a specific automotive bearing and they are unable to supply. Derby bearings wanted £38 + Vat + P&P, which for a bearing that cost £10 from the dealer I though was a bit steep.

So I have at last managed to get both types from Quattro Corner and should be with me for Friday morning. , at least that wont hold me up now....
