wanted: aby throttle cable

I am after an aby throttle cable to modify for a reverse inlet

Try this, used by a few others on here for the reverse inlet.

Or.
Fit the reversed IM with the too short cable, roughly cut it near the end, call the AA and they will install a new one from there van free of charge.

cheers guys but I already have a cable its a replacement gear selecter cable for a lambretta but the outer ends are plain where it ends so the plan was to put the ends off the outer aby cable onto it then solder the barrels on the inner, dont want to cut my original up as I like to try and keep everything that is taken off as it is if possible.

Go careful joining cables together, i had one snap that i had done the same too. Was going up hill on the motorway too and only just made it to the hard shoulder.
After fitting it i pulled it very hard to make sure it wouldn't snap, took 2 months..

the reson I wanted to use the outer ends of the aby is where is goes through the bulkhead the grommet is at an angle which I presume is to help it go round that f****n get of a wheel on top of the pedlebox.

@ bo, are you on about the nipples came off the end of yours, or extending the cable?

On mine the inner cable broke because i didnt join the extension on to it well enough.
Do you have an outer cable withe the correct grommet you can use as a base to feed a new inner cable in through?

here is the gear cable, which is 5'6" long.

aby which I was going to chop the ends off the outer then put them on the outer of the other cable once I have cut it to lengh,
