I've Read a lot on the internet about Porsche brakes this week.
And what I understand, it's only the 993 big brakes that are called (big reds)?
You are correct - BUT a lot of people on Fleabay also call the 996 GT3 calipers Big Reds due to them being 10mm bigger on the mounting holes over the std 996 C2/C4 calipers...
correct. the original big reds refered to the upgraded calipers used on the audi rs2 which were the 993 turbo 4 brakes.
i have a set of standard porsche calipers from a 964 if anyone wants to come and collect them. they are just the calipers, no sliders or spring clips etc.
as a new year gift, if you come and collect them, you can have them for free. i live in wigan but the calipers are in warrington at my work premises.
